Kate Weldon LeBlancWaltham, MA – December 3, 2014 —  RESOLVE New England (RNE), the region’s infertility support, education and advocacy organization, is pleased to announce today that it has named Kate Weldon LeBlanc as its Executive Director. She will assume her new role at RNE commencing in January 2015.

“We are delighted to announce this appointment,” said Ramani Varanasi, Chair of RESOLVE New England’s Board of Directors. “Kate will bring an excellent combination of skills to this critical leadership role. Her passion and deep sense of commitment for RNE’s mission combined with her experience in the areas of advocacy, programming, and fundraising in the non-profit sector will serve RNE well in the years to come. The Board of Directors and I look forward to working with Kate.”

LeBlanc has been the Associate Director of the Center for Early Relationship Support of Jewish Family and Children’s Service since August of 2009. Prior to her arrival at JF&CS, LeBlanc spent nearly ten years working in the departments of Child Advocacy and Government Relations at Boston Children’s Hospital. She was also a Research Analyst in the Massachusetts Legislature. LeBlanc holds a BSW from Skidmore College and a Master’s in Public Affairs from the University of Massachusetts Boston.

Kate will be replacing Erin Lasker, who has served as RNE’s Executive Director for the past four years. “During her tenure at RNE, Erin has done an amazing job building and enhancing the organization to ensure that it continues to be the leading voice and progressive driving force connecting the New England infertility community. We will truly miss her but wish her all the best in her future endeavors,” said Varanasi.
