Walk of Hope raises awareness of the disease of infertility

McLean, VA, May 12, 2015 – RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association and RESOLVE New England will partner to host the first-ever New England Walk of Hope in Massachusetts in the fall of 2015. RESOLVE and RESOLVE New England are excited to bring the infertility movement to the greater New England region.

“The Walk of Hope is a day where the infertility community comes together to raise awareness about a disease that affects more than 237,000 women and men in the New England region,” said Barbara Collura, RESOLVE President/CEO. “We look forward to co-hosting this inaugural event with RESOLVE New England.”

The Walk of Hope represents the infertility journey—a series of small steps, each one filled with hope and a reminder that no one with infertility should walk alone. One in eight U.S. couples of childbearing age has trouble conceiving or carrying a pregnancy to term. These inspiring and empowering one-mile walks bring together the entire fertility community and those who care about them. All ages are welcome to attend and show their support. Funds raised at the Walk of Hope will bring critical support and educational programs to women and men diagnosed with infertility.

“RESOLVE New England is so excited to partner with RESOLVE on the first-ever New England Walk of Hope,” said Kate Weldon LeBlanc, RESOLVE New England executive director. “The Walk will bring together those who struggle with infertility, and their family and friends, in a nurturing and fun atmosphere. It will also shine much-needed light on the disease, which is too often still in the shadows.”
