Meredith Wheeler

Meredith Wheeler (she/they) lives in Providence, Rhode Island with her wife Andi and their son, Julian (affectionately known as embryo #8.) Meredith and Andi struggled with infertility and recurrent pregnancy loss for many years, ultimately building their family with IVF and the use of PGT-A testing. Meredith has 15 years of experience in policy advocacy and has played a role in campaigns to expand Medicaid in 9 states, bringing health care to millions of low income people. They have expertise in health policy and advocacy and barriers to health care access based on race and ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, income level, and disability. Meredith is currently a Senior Campaigns Manager for Medicaid at American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network where she continues to work toward equitable health care coverage. Meredith graduated magna cum laude from Mount Holyoke College and holds a master’s degree in Macro Social Work from Boston University. They are also a member of AllPaths’ Advocacy Committee.
